Cowboy - Not just another dog

As for the beautiful guy in the photo above? He taught me about Reiki in ways that no other teacher or book or even my own experience could do. He knew more about pure love and peace and joy in the present moment than most any of us humans ever perceive. He was the first animal that I felt I could actually communicate with because when he looked deeply into your eyes, and he did, quite often, he looked straight into your soul and there was a deep understanding held there.
     Cowboy is one of the reasons why I am devoting the next part of my life to the animals - to sharing blessed heart-filled space with them through the practice of Reiki, to sharing/guiding others to seeing them in their most perfect Light and learning to listen to the wisdom that is so innate in them. 
     He moved on from his physical body this summer and his passing left what would seem like a hole that could never be filled, but his Spirit lives on in each of us who shared life with him so strongly and powerfully. I am honored that he and my daughter allowed me to be with him in his final hours and that we could be in Reiki space together, all three of us, and that we could share his most honorable passing from a Divine spirit in a body to Pure Spirit, flying free.
