What IS the Way of the Drum?
What can Reiki-filled drumming do for us?
Drumming is as innate within our bones as breathing. Drumming has been around for centuries along with energy which has been around since the beginning of time. We ARE energy and everything is made up of energy. Everything has a vibration. Sound has a vibration and it is the vibration, the sound that the drum makes that has the ability to unite us, to bring forth our celebrations in a glorious way, to send our prayers to the heavens and to heal us.
How does it do those things? The drum reaches us...on the soul level. It reminds our hearts how to be in rhythm with ourselves with each other and with Mother Earth itself.
Does drumming have to have a purpose? No we can drum just to drum--just to be with the drum. I try to be with my drum every day now that it has found me in this lifetime. But to Drum With Purpose and Intention, we then raise our hopes and dreams and prayers and celebrations and our feeling of togetherness on this planet to an entirely different vibration. A higher vibration if you will. A vibration from which we can realize our hopes and dreams and joys.
