Did you ever think about how much we take the sky for granted? Everything it does, how it moves, how it creates clouds and weather, the stars that inhabit it, the vastness it represents that goes beyond our logical minds to decipher, the moon it holds, the planets, the brilliant sun. Deepak Chopra says our Abundance is in everything. We can look everywhere in our natural world to see our Abundance and to feel it. Just by taking in the nature of the sky alone we can see and feel everything.
Did you know that Niagara Falls produces its own clouds when the air and water temperatures are just right? I saw them this fall when I visited Niagara for the second time in my life. The Falls at Niagara produce some of the world's largest amounts of negative ions, which helps to boost the body's mood and improves the amount of oxygen to the body, as well as improving sleep. How often do you often think about the wonderment of the natural world we live in? Do you take in its abundance every single day? Our minds are funny things aren't they? I mean we can choose our thoughts just like we choose our wardrobe, and yet often we make repetitive choices with those thoughts. We think and we think and we think about what we could have done better yesterday or what we could be doing later today or tomorrow or even next week. When we drive home we are thinking about what we are going to do when we get there, when we wait in line we read our cell phones to see whose posting what on Insta. The sky just stays and waits for us to see it. The trees just stand, growing and giving us their breath, waiting for us to lean on them or even just notice their existence. We think they don't matter as much as us because they're just trees or they're just the sky. But they do. And in fact they are better listeners than most of us. Did you ever wonder if people listen to anything at all besides what's in their own busy minds? When someone listens, really listens to you, it fills you up inside. You feel full of you and full of them at the same time. You connect with them at the heart level and they you. Nature does the same, only all the time. Nature is there to listen, to reflect back your beauty and yes even to share love with you. Maybe we can begin by taking some time to just be with the sky or with a tree. We can start with just a few minutes today and plant a seed into our future selves, selves in which we actually participate in the amazing tapestry that is our life. Then we can turn to the person next to us, whether we know them or not, and practice listening and being thankful.🌲🌲🌲

After several decades on this dear Earth of ours, I can no longer deny that one of the ways I can best communicate is through the written word. So my pledge here to you and to myself is to sing my song of words as they come through me in the hopes of creating a vision for us all. Happy trails.Archives
