CAN YOU FEEL IT? This is a time for listening It’s ok to stop doing and start be-ing Recognize the quiet moments when you stop trying to change what is Compare yourself with no one Practice just being you Your rite of passage is now Achieve only the art of paying attention Can you hear the silence held within it Accept the perfection of the present moment Can you feel it Find the flow and go with it Remember you aren’t in charge Huddle in close with the Earth Mother She is your saving grace, your meditation Master, your comfort and your courage Tend well your garden of Love Knowing its richness is what feeds you Love is what you are Can you feel it a poem by Rose O’Connor, 8/2/2020

I wonder what he would say if he were here. He was always such a tower of strength throughout his life. I’ve no doubt he would have been helping others through this time with that strength of his. What came to me this morning was this - focus on your strengths right now, focus on what makes you feel strong, what gives you strength and makes you feel whole. As Abraham (via Esther Hicks) would say “calibrate” - calibrate to the strength that lies in your own soul and how it expresses itself through you. For me, the things that calibrate for me right now are horses and the woods. I am making friends with a herd of ponies I found near me and I go and sit with them. They ask nothing of me except perhaps a gentle scratch on their nose and just to breathe with them for a while. Each day I see them, I sit quietly and free my mind. I go into my hara and my heart space and I wait. After a while, a few will come, always curious and friendly, holding out their noses to say hello through the block wire fence. They are feral, or so I’m told. and so I am quite still and offer only loving energy, nothing else. Some would say that I am sharing Reiki with them, but these days I have no agenda. I simply am in the practice of being and receiving, grounding and filling, giving and letting it flow. Also, every day I take to the woods and the natural waters of the creek that follows along beside me. Some days I see the Great Blue Heron, others the beaver family. Always the birds, squirrels, rabbits and butterflies greet me. The trees welcome my return each time and I do not take them for granted, but thank them for their strength, their steadiness in a time when much of the world is shaky. Find something to calibrate with that makes you feel strong. Work with the strength within you, it’s there. Find the thing that brings you to that place inside you where everything is right side up, where everything is resonant. It's there. My Dad was a man who could always find the strength that lay within him. When he was a sickly child in bed with rheumatic fever, when he was a soldier in WWII and his courage saved a troop of men in the Black Forest. When he raised a family with love through good and bad times, when he cared for a mentally ill daughter his whole life, when he lost a wife, and then a best friend, when his lungs gave up on him. And in the end it was his strength I felt the most the moment of his death. Even in his last hours here in his physical form, he was as strong and loving as I’d always known him to be. Work with your strength, it’s there.
LESSONS FROM OUR ANIMALS
During this time of quiet and seclusion with our families and ourselves, we can look to our animals for inspiration. As a client of mine said, when writing to me yesterday about her dog’s upcoming remote Reiki session, “My dogs don’t seem to know what’s happening in the world. They are just the same-peaceful and loving.” I do believe that they aren’t aware of the panic and fear that exists in many right now, unless it exists in someone in their home who they care about. But I believe the reason they don't seem to be aware is because they already exist in a different reality than the one we are in—one that is made of Love. It is indeed just another lesson on this beautiful and also painful journey we are all on right now. And yes I call it beautiful because it is indeed a pathway that can lead us to greater love, should we choose it. The animals would like us to join them where they are - in the present moment that lives inside each of us. Even in moments of chaos in our outer world, our inner world is capable of holding sweet peace, of holding great love. Animals know the way of the peaceful warrior—they have the natural ability to embody peace within. We can tap into that whether we live with an animal or not. Nature is always with us as we are nature ourselves. We are not separate from it nor is it separate from us. Take a walk today, metaphorically, to the place of peace inside you. What goes on in the outer world does not have to disturb our innermost sense of peace and love. Open your heart and feel the love that is always there waiting. Invite an animal, or a tree for that matter, to join you there and help you transcend to that inner quiet, to that place of unconditional Love. My wish for you is to be well, grow during this time, appreciate the moment, and stay with Love.
STEP INTO LOVE YES this is a challenging time indeed. And yet it is a time of great transformation and change. I AM HERE today to remind you of your UTTER MAGNIFICENCE. To remind you that you are enough, just as you are, sick or well, scared or bold, you are MORE than enough. YOU ARE PERFECT just as you are because you are carrying the Light of the Divine inside of you. And even if you feel isolated or alone, you have, as the song by Bliss says “...a 100,000 Angels by your side” all around you, on every side of you, above and below you, and even inside of you and through you. AND YOUR BODY? Your body is made to do this, it’s made to be a perfectly working machine that knows what to do, that knows how to keep you healthy, or if you are sick, to make you healthy again. TRUST IT. It knows what to do, it is perfectly Divinely designed. ALL YOU NEED to do now is STEP into Love - Let LOVE fill your heart, let the Light that is LOVE, the light that is within you and all around you, fill your heart now. Breathe it into your heart and let it fill all of your cells in your body. IT IS LOVE that will carry you through this time, whether you are sick or afraid or alone. LOVE is always with you. If you stop and breathe it in, you can feel it. STEP INTO LOVE with me and embrace this beautiful present moment we are in together. The water is warm and inviting and LOVE surrounds us. Step into love and share that love with the world. Keep stepping into love, into that warm space of love. LOVE heals all. I love you all and am sending you the perfect Light of Love today. I will be posting blogs on my site frequently and soon to come videos on FB page (Reikislove), and offering Zoom meditations. I'm here to help spread the love right now. Blessings to each of you today and every day. If you want a personalized remote Reiki session with me filled with the Light of Love, contact me - [email protected] I'm happy to help.
Did you ever think about how much we take the sky for granted? Everything it does, how it moves, how it creates clouds and weather, the stars that inhabit it, the vastness it represents that goes beyond our logical minds to decipher, the moon it holds, the planets, the brilliant sun. Deepak Chopra says our Abundance is in everything. We can look everywhere in our natural world to see our Abundance and to feel it. Just by taking in the nature of the sky alone we can see and feel everything.
Did you know that Niagara Falls produces its own clouds when the air and water temperatures are just right? I saw them this fall when I visited Niagara for the second time in my life. The Falls at Niagara produce some of the world's largest amounts of negative ions, which helps to boost the body's mood and improves the amount of oxygen to the body, as well as improving sleep. How often do you often think about the wonderment of the natural world we live in? Do you take in its abundance every single day? Our minds are funny things aren't they? I mean we can choose our thoughts just like we choose our wardrobe, and yet often we make repetitive choices with those thoughts. We think and we think and we think about what we could have done better yesterday or what we could be doing later today or tomorrow or even next week. When we drive home we are thinking about what we are going to do when we get there, when we wait in line we read our cell phones to see whose posting what on Insta. The sky just stays and waits for us to see it. The trees just stand, growing and giving us their breath, waiting for us to lean on them or even just notice their existence. We think they don't matter as much as us because they're just trees or they're just the sky. But they do. And in fact they are better listeners than most of us. Did you ever wonder if people listen to anything at all besides what's in their own busy minds? When someone listens, really listens to you, it fills you up inside. You feel full of you and full of them at the same time. You connect with them at the heart level and they you. Nature does the same, only all the time. Nature is there to listen, to reflect back your beauty and yes even to share love with you. Maybe we can begin by taking some time to just be with the sky or with a tree. We can start with just a few minutes today and plant a seed into our future selves, selves in which we actually participate in the amazing tapestry that is our life. Then we can turn to the person next to us, whether we know them or not, and practice listening and being thankful.🌲🌲🌲 |

After several decades on this dear Earth of ours, I can no longer deny that one of the ways I can best communicate is through the written word. So my pledge here to you and to myself is to sing my song of words as they come through me in the hopes of creating a vision for us all. Happy trails.Archives
